MD10

Less than ten seconds

As a reference to the famous French movie Taxi, which promotes speed and competition – two qualities socially accepted as “manly “, MD10 (French acronym for “less than ten seconds “) is a race made of words. Each participant has ten seconds to name as many adjectives as possible to describe men. Two options are offered to him: winning by rapidly pronouncing classical notions of virility or losing by slowly deconstructing the clichés. Presented in decreasing order of occurrence, the terms are presented according to the number of times they have been spoken. A possible image of masculinity is emerging through the redundancy of certain words.
